VillwockMalinda MarieFaribault Daily NewsApr/1946Private funeral services were held Thursday for Mrs. Erick Villwock, who passed away very suddenly Tuesday, April 16, at her home, 16 First Avenue S. W., following an illness of about three weeks. Death was caused by pneumonia complicating diphtheria. The Rev. A. L. Rustad, pastor of the First English Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery, Morristown. Pallbearers were Erick Hein, Walter Villwock, Elmer Villwock, Alvin Villwock, Harold Villwock and William Rasmussen. Miss Malinda Marie Minske was born March 24, 1902, in Deerfield, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Minske. She attended the rural school of the community and was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault. On April 15, 1925, she was united in marriage to Erick Villwock of Morristown. She is survived by her husband and three children, Elaine, David and Norman of Faribault, three sisters, Mrs. Erick Hein, Mrs. Esther Krause, Wilkin, and Mrs. Ed Krause of St. Marys, and one brother, Rudolph Minske of Deerfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Minske and one sister, Mrs. Martha Reinecke. Also two children, Laurence and Louise, who passed away while the family still resided in Morristown.
VillwockCarlFaribault Daily News28/Feb/1949MORRISTOWN (Special)--Funeral services were held recently for Carl Villwock, 85, in the home and in the Bethlehem Lutheran church, with the Rev. Herbert Burgdorf, officiating. Interment was in Concordia cemetery, with David, Harold, Elmer and Alvin Villwock, Donald Hare and Herbert Sorgatz acting as pallbearers. Mr. Villwock was born in Rummesburg, Pommerania, Germany and was married there to Bertha Winkler in 1891. The couple migrated to the United States in 1893 and settled in LeSueur county. In 1927, they moved to Morristown. Eight children were born to the couple and two died in infancy. Surviving are his wife, and six children, Bertha and Anna of Minneapolis, Otto of Waterville, Walter of Morristown, Helen, also of Morristown, Eric of Faribault and 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
VillwockDarrell ElmerFaribault Daily News22/Apr/1953MORRISTOWN--Funeral services for Darrell Elmer, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Villwock, were held Monday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at the home of his parents, south of Morristown. The Rev. Victor Marxhausen, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran church, officiated. Interment was made in Concordia Cemetery, North Morristown. Darrell was born March 31 at St. Lucas Hospital, Faribault and passed away there Saturday morning, April 18, at 3 a.m. He was baptized April 5 at the hospital by Pastor Marxhausen in the presence of Mrs. Beatrice Wille, R.N. A brother, Gerald, preceded him in death in March, 1951, at the age of 11 days. Darrell is survived by his parents, grandparents, great-grandmother, and many other relatives. VillwockBertha Augusta MathildaFaribault Daily News19/Jun/1953Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Villwock, 84, were held Tuesday, June 9, at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Morristown, with the Rev. Victor Marxhausen officiating. There was also a family service at 1:30 p.m. at the home in Morristown. Mrs. Villwock passed away at her home in Morristown on Friday, June 5. Music for the services was provided by Mrs. Elmer Meschke, Mrs. Floyd Kratt, and Mrs. Walter Krause. They sang "Asleep In Jesus" and the German hymns "Las Miech Gen" and "Chriftus der ift Mein Leben." Interment was made at the Concordia Cemetery in North Morristown. Pallbearers were Norman, Alvin, and Harold Villwock, Warren Hein, Robert Pirkl, and Victor Mollenhauer. Mrs. Villwock (nee Bertha Augusta Mathilda Winkel) was born in Rummelsburg, Germany, November 4, 1868, daughter of the late Albert and Henriette Winkel. She was married to Carl J. Villwock on March 31, 1891. They made their home in Rummelsburg, Germany, until 1896, when they came to America. They settled on a farm near Waterville in LeSueur County. In 1918 they moved to a farm one mile south of Morristown. About two years later they retired from farming and moved into the village of Morristown. Surviving are three daughters, Anna and Bertha Villwock of Minneapolis and Helena Villwock of Morristown; three sons, Otto Villwock of Kilkenny, Walter Villwock of Morristown, and Erick Villwock of Faribault; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. One grandson, A-2C David E. Villwock is serving with the U. S. Air Force in Japan and was unable to get home for the funeral. Her husband preceded her in death. A daughter, Martha, and a son, William, died in infancy. three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m. in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morristown with the Rev. Carlton Spatzeck officiating. Friends may call at the Gill Funeral Home Friday afternoon and evening, until noon Saturday and from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Meadow Ridge Memorial Cemetery at Faribault.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will take place in the Morristown Cemetery at Morristown. Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home Thursday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday until the hour of services. The parish vigil prayers will be recited at the Boldt Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Thursday. Erick Ewald Villwock, the son of Carl and Bertha Winkel Villwock, was born June 6, 1902 at rural Kilkenny. He was united in marriage to Melinda Minske in 1925 and she preceded him in death in 1946. On April 9, 1947 he was united in marriage to Elsie Neuman. Villwock owned and operated the Villwock Ambulance and Funeral Coach service in Faribault for many years, prior to his retirement. He is survived by his widow, Elsie of Faribault; four daughters, Mrs. Warren Hein (Elaine) of Cleveland, Mrs. Bernard Martinson (Elizabeth) of Faribault, Mrs. Bertram Pirkl (Joy) of Anoka and Mrs. Dennis Dudley (Mary) of Waterville; two sons, David Villwock of St. Paul and Norman Villwock of Bloomington; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandson; two sisters, Anna Villwock of Minneapolis and Mrs. Helena Sickor of Minneapolis; brother, Otto Villwock of Kilkenny; by nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waterville, with the Rev. Erwin Meitz officiating. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery, Rice County. Visitation is scheduled for 4-8 p.m. today at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home, Waterville, and at the church Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Lorna L. Schmidtke, the daughter of Carl and Julianna (Siervogel) Schmidtke, was born March 16, 1930, in Rice County. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, North Morristown, and moved with her family at the age of 2 to LeSueur County. She attended rural LeSueur County school and St. Peter's (Bell) Parochial School. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1949. On April 28, 1950, she married Elmer Villwock at St. Peter's (Bell) Lutheran Church. They lived and farmed in the Morristown and Waterville area. In 1972, they moved into Waterville and she worked part-time at the Waterville Nursing Home, the post office and at JAX Mfg. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Waterville. She is survived by her husband, Elmer, of Waterville; one daughter, Barb (and Ron) Herrley of Mankato; one granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; a brother, Rueben (and Janet) Schmidtke of Waterville; and two sisters-in-law, Marvel Schmidtke and Della Schmidtke, both of Waterville. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two sons, four brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Good Shephard Lutheran Church, Owatonna, with the Rev. John Kallio officiating. Interment will be in Concordia Cemetery, Morristown. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna, and Tuesday an hour before the service at the church. Maynard Villwock, the son of Otto and Alma (Hagel) Villwock, was born Jan. 26, 1943, in Morristown. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1961. On April 24, 1965, he married Judy Schmidt in Owatonna. He worked at Johnson 66 oil company as a mechanic and bulk driver. He was also employed by Gordy Fretham Excavating as a mechanic as well as a shop foreman. He retired due to a work-related injury which left him disabled. His survived by his wife, Judy; two sons, Gerald (and Mary) of Medford and Gary of Owatonna; two daughters, Jodi (and Mark) Schwanke of Owatonna and Cheryl Villwock at home in Owatonna; two brothers, Alvin (and Ruth) Villwock of Morristown and Elmer (and Lorna) Villwock of Waterville; two sisters, Leona (and Herbert) Sorgatz of Morristown and Dorothy (and Robert) Pirkl of Morristown; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, North Morristown, at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Michael S. Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery, Morristown Township. Visitation was held Monday at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, and will continue at the church today for one hour prior to the service. Alvin C. Villwock, the son of Otto C. and Alma (Hagel) Villwock, was born March 9, 1921, in the Kennyville area. He attended school at Kennyville, District 60 and Trinity Lutheran School, rural Morristown. On July 10, 1945, he married Ruth M. Sorgatz and moved on to the Kennyville Farm. He assisted his parents in farming on the Kennyville Farm until 1948. Then he was employed as a construction crew member by Herb Hein Building Co. of Morristown. In 1949, he and his brother, Elmer, returned to the Kennyville Farm and in 1956 Alvin and Ruth became owners and operators of the farm. He also became a dealer for Berg Equipment Co., becoming a district manager in 1973 and retiring on Feb. 1, 1986. He was active in Trinity Lutheran Church, Morristown Township, serving on various boards; and was a past board member of Concordia Cemetery, Morristown Township. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three children, Carl (and Mary) Villwock of Kilkenny, Kenneth (and LuAnn) Villwock of Savage and Marilyn (and Richard) Shelton of North Mankato; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leona (and Herbert) Sorgatz and Dorothea (and Robert) Pirkl, all of Morristown; one brother, Elmer (and Lorna) Villwock of Waterville; one sister-in-law, Judy Villwock of Owatonna. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Rockville. Burial will be held in the parish cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring. David Villwock was born in Morristown to Eric and Melinda (Minske) Villwock. He is survived locally by his step-mother, Elsie Villwock of Faribault. Other survivors include one brother; three step-sisters; five nieces; one nephew; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
VillwockNorman W.Faribault Daily News04/Nov/2003Norman W. Villwock, 67, of Bloomington, passed away at home on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003. Though cancer consumed his body, it never diminished his spirit. Funeral Mass will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Church of St. Patrick, 6280 St. Patrick Lane, Edina (corner of Gleason and Valley View). Visitation begins at 5 p.m. at the church. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy; daughters, Catherine Sheffer, Jane (and Rick) Zimmermann, Karen McNiel and Jennifer (and Tim) Concur; grandchildren, Matthew, Cassandra, Kelly, Amy, Vanessa, Nicole, Sean and Brynn. Norms greatest pleasures in life were his family and time spent in pursuit of trophy walleye on Lake Vermillion. He also enjoyed many years as a partner and CEO of Birchwood Laboratories, Inc. in Eden Prairie. Norm will always be remembered for his generosity, integrity and unwavering commitment to the people in his life. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sharing and Caring Hands or Habitat for Humanity are preferred.

Interment will be in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault. Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, from 4 to 8 p.m., and at the church for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Harold Robert, the son of Walter and Natalie (Manske) Villowck, was born Nov. 21, 1923, at Morristown Township, Rice County. He married Joan Hoyt on May 1, 1947, in Mason City, Iowa. He farmed south of Morristown until 1972. He was a school bus driver for Faribault Transportation Company from 1973 to 1998. He was also employed at Farmer Seed and Nursery, Faribault, from 2000 until 2003. He is survived by his wife, Joan, of Faribault; three children, Linda (and Fred) Lust of Rochester, Blaine (and Barbara Doss) Villwock of Herndon, Virginia, and Brian (Karen Schledwitz) Villwock of Severance, Colo.; five grandchildren; one sister, Gladys (and Elsner) Eaker of Owatonna. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, at immaculate Conception in Faribault with the Rev. Michael Izen officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorials be directed to Bethlehem Academy. Elsie Marie LeMere, the daughter of Frank and Amanda (Belisle) LeMere, was born on June 5, 1910, in Somerset, Wis. Elsie graduated from high school and moved to Faribault to attended St. Lucas Nursing School. After her graduation from nursing school, Elsie began working as a registered nurse at St. Lucas Hospital. Later she would work at the Faribault Regional Center, District One Hospital and was the director of nursing at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home until her retirement. She was a nurse for 50 years. Elsie was a member of the daughters of Isabella, the Red Cross and Foster Grandparents. She is survived by two daughters, Joy Neuman Pirkl of Coon Rapids and Mary Neuman (and Dennis) Dudley of Faribault; by her former son-in-law, Bert Pirkl of Andover, Minn.; by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, George Neuman; husband, Eric Villwock; by her daughter, Elizabeth Martinson; by step-sons, David and Norman Villwock ; by a step-daughter, Elaine Hein; and 13 siblings. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery, North Morristown. Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and also at church for one hour prior to the service on Monday. Ruth Magdalena, the daughter of Emil and Magdalena (Schulz) Sorgatz, was born on May 13, 1927 in Waterville Township, LeSueur County. She married Alvin C. Villwock on July 10, 1945 and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1998. She was formerly employed by Green Giant of Montgomery, Birds Eye of Waseca and she loved being the cook at Trinity Lutheran School, North Morristown. She also enjoyed babysitting, assisting on the farm, fishing with her brother, Herb, and playing cards. Ruth was a member of the Ladies Aid at Trinity Lutheran Church, North Morristown. She is survived by her three children, Carl (and Mary) Villwock of Kilkenny, Kenneth (and LuAnn) Villwock of New Prague and Marilyn (and Richard) Shelton of North Mankato; eight grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert (and Mammie) Sorgatz of Morristown and Delbert (and Betty) Sorgatz of Waterville. VillwockElmer ErichFaribault Daily News30/Jan/2014Elmer Erich Villwock, age 88, of Waterville died on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Traditions in Waterville. Born on March 8, 1925, in Morristown Township, Rice County, Minn., he was the son of Otto and Alma (Hagle) Villwock. Elmer married Lorna Schmidtke on April 28, 1950, at St. Peters “Bell” Lutheran Church. Elmer worked at McQuays in Faribault for nearly 20 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville where he had served on the finance board. He is survived by one daughter, Barb Herrley of Eagle Lake; one granddaughter; and three stepgrandchildren. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday one hour before services at the church. Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services of Waterville is handling arrangements.
